There are five coin locker locations near Hakodate Station, all within a three-minute walking distance from the station.
Coin Lockers Inside Hakodate Station
Hakodate Station has the most coin lockers in the area! You can use your Transit IC Card（Examples: Suica, PASMO, ICOCA, and Other） for payment, so there’s no need to dig around for coins. It’s a convenient spot, but it can get crowded during peak seasons.
Where to Find Coin Lockers
The coin lockers at Hakodate Station are on the second floor. Just take the escalator up, turn left, and walk along the left side for about 10 seconds. Look for Tully’s Coffee—they’re right next to it!

Coin Lockers Inside HAKOVIVA
If you’re standing in front of Hakodate Station, turn right and you’ll see a big gate. Go through it, and you’ll find the shopping complex “HAKOVIVA.” There are coin lockers on the first floor.
Where to Find Coin Lockers
Go straight ahead after passing through the gate and enter the facility via the entrance directly ahead. It will be on your right as soon as you step inside.

The coin locker states “available during today’s business hours” (it seems the facility operates from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM).
Coin Lockers Inside Hakodate Morning Market “Donburi Yokocho Ichiba”
When you leave the ticket gate at Hakodate Station, just walk straight out the front entrance. Turn right, and you’ll see the Hakodate Morning Market about 100 meters（approximately 328 feet）away. The nearest building to the station in the market is “Donburi Yokocho Ichiba.”
Where to Find Coin Lockers
The coin lockers are located inside the “Donburi Yokocho Ichiba” building, in the space between the shops.

Coin Lockers Inside Hakodate Station Front “Bus Information & Waiting Area”
The “Bus Information & Waiting Area” is a building located right before the intersection, directly ahead from the front exit of Hakodate Station.
Where to Find Coin Lockers
The coin lockers are hidden behind a partition, but since they are located near the entrance, you should be able to spot them easily if you look around.

Coin Lockers Inside Kiralis Hakodate
Kiralis Hakodate is the building you’ll see right in front of you when you leave Hakodate Station and turn around. Just walk straight, cross one traffic light, and you’re there! It’s only a quick 3-minute walk from the station.
Where to Find Coin Lockers
From Hakodate Station, just walk straight, go into the building, and after a few steps, you’ll see the coin lockers on your left.

So far, I’ve introduced coin lockers around Hakodate Station, but my personal recommendation is the coin lockers at Hakodate Station itself. However, please note that large coin lockers for oversized suitcases may sometimes be full.
If that happens, don’t worry—you can use the luggage storage or same-day delivery services available inside Hakodate Station.

Once you’re out of the ticket gates at Hakodate Station, just keep going straight. Right before the automatic doors to the outside, take a left. You’ll spot some doors with “Hakodate Tourist Information” written on them. Go through those doors and head all the way to the back. 
If you’re coming from outside Hakodate Station, enter through the entrance marked by the red arrow, and you’ll find Yamato Transport right in front of you.
